Ciudad del Fútbol 17 Mayo 2015
Offensive, disciplined, fast and one of the growing stellar players in the Premier League. The U21 footballer, Héctor Bellerín, is the star of our 'The Future is Theirs' section

At 20, the right back of the Spanish U21 side, plays for one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe. The road to becoming fixed in the starting line-up, which has been a reward to his effort and work and Héctor Bellerín  is already being recognised in the Premier League with the support of the Gunners' fans in North London.

Born in Barcelona on March 19th 1995, this defender started his footballer career in the FC Barcelona youth teams, a club he played for until 2011, when he transferred to England only aged 16 for Arsenal FC, one of the top European clubs with a great youth projection.

He did not wait to stand out with the club managed by Frenchman Aresene Wenger. Bellerín played his first match on September 23rd 2013, substituting Spaniard Mikel Arteta. The season that is now coming to an end has been his footballer burst, where he has settled as a sure choice on the right side of the London club demonstrating his speed, defensive discipline and offensive vocation, a quality that he has employed when scoring goals.

Héctor Bellerín: "Making my debut with the National Team would be a dream come true. I can't imagine what it would be like. Little by little things are coming round."

The right back has played the European Cup with the U19s in Lithuania back in 2013, where Spain got to the semifinals, as well as the Elite Round in Vigo last year. This season Héctor has had the chance to play for the U21s led by Albert Celades.

His time came about on March 30th last year in León, at a 4-0 win against Belarus. "I am very pleased with my U21 debut, it's a step in the right direction. I am happy with the team. We played a great match, just like against Norway. It's always a pleasure to play with the Spanish side and representing the country. I am very happy and want to come back," confessed Bellerín after the match.

Given his meteoric progression, the future of this speedy defender could lie in the National Team. Bellerín admitted, in an interview for SeFutbol, official media of the Spanish National Team, that "making his debut in the National Team is something he's dream since a child, I can't imagine what it could be like". Héctor is taking giant steps, without a doubt one of the footballers with an excellent future ahead of him.
