MATCH REPORT | 1-All draw against Italy in the first friendly of the year

Ciudad del Fútbol 20 Ene 2016
Balanced match between Spain and Italy where the visitors dominated the first half and the hosts recovered in the second

Draw for Spain in Ferntina against a tough Italian side, in their first friendly of 2015. After a balanced start to the game, Santi Denia's men took initiative. The first half counted with plenty of chances for our players like Morlanes, Agüero and Mboula.

The offensive work translated into a goal on the verge of half time. Oriol Busquets volleyed the ball, scoring the opener. A well deserved reward for the Spanish team.

The second half was less smooth for the visitors with changes in both teams. Italy pressured from the get go and drew in the 64th minute. Spain's keeper, Adrían López, made two quality saves, but little could be done with Kean's shot. The Italians went for a second goal, which finished hitting the post.

Brahim gave Spain their last glimmering hope in the final stretches of the match, but Italy's goalie managed to keep the ball out. The friendly finished 1-1.
