Jenni Hermosos' goal and the own goal by Ismaleli gave Spain the triumph, earning seventh place of the tournament

The Spanish squad reached Albufeira looking for a comeback, a way of closing the tournament in high spirits. Head Coach Jorge Vilda counted with three captains on the pitch and a line-up similar to that which beat the current EURO Champions, the Netherlands.

From the get-go Spain had the initiative. However, they had to wait 20 minutes to celebrate the opener. Jenni Hermoso made the most of a far assist by Nahikari García. With this result half time came about.

Once the match resumed, the Madrid-born coach made four substitutions and sought the 0-2, however Florijana Ismaili scored an own goal giving Spain the definite advantage.

The Spanish side concludes its participation in the Algarve Cup in seventh place.
