The Catalan footballer is the most capped player in the Spanish Women's National Team, reaching 73 international caps

Marta Torrejón Moya (Mataró, 27th February 1990) is since June 30th 2017, the player with most international caps with the Women's National Team. After taking part in the friendly against Belgium in San Pedro del Pinatar, the footballer reaches 73 international caps, beating Arantza del Puerto, 72 and until now is the most capped player in the history of the Spanish side. 

The defender made her debut with Spain on November 25th 2007 in a EURO Qualifier Stage in Shrewsbury, England. The Spanish side lost 1-0. Yet Marta did not achieve the first win in the following game against Northern Irealnd, Spain won 4-0. 

From then on, Torrejón has not missed a date with the Spanish side, becoming Spain captain under Jorge Vilda's management. She won the Algarve Cup a few months ago in Portugal and has played final continental stages as well as the Canada 2015 World Cup. In that time Marta Torrejón has scored 9 goals, an outstanding stat for a defender. 

Marta Torrejón beats another milestone against Belgium, beating Arantza del Puerto. Until today, the Basque footballer was the most capped player with 72 matches. 

Overall ten solid years have gone by defending Spain's jersey as a defender who still has a bright future ahead of her with the Natioanl Team. At 27, the Spanish captain looks to continue adding international caps in the Netherlands EURO.
